Exploring big ideas, one month at a time.

At Projectory School, curiosity is our compass — it guides what we notice, question, and create.

Each month begins with a question — a spark of curiosity that guides our explorations. Through inquiry-based learning, we help students see learning as something that lives in the world around them. From discovery and gratitude to community and celebration, each theme encourages children to explore, connect, and grow through hands-on experiences.

These monthly themes invite us to ask why and discover how. They connect children’s natural interests to deeper questions about the world and their place in it.

Here’s a glimpse into our year of curiosity:

🎃 October — Discovery

How do we learn through play and exploration?

Autumn is the season of curiosity — when children dig, mix, sort, and build to understand how things work. We experiment, observe, and test our ideas through hands-on STEAM challenges, art, and sensory play.

🦃 November — Gratitude

How do we show thankfulness?

Through community projects and traditions, we explore gratitude as both a feeling and an action — noticing kindness, giving thanks, and finding ways to make others feel appreciated.

✨December — Light

What brings light to our world?

As the days grow shorter, we focus on brightness — joy, hope, and connection.

We learn how sharing our light helps others shine too, through stories, art, and acts of kindness.

🎨 January — Imagination

How do new ideas grow?

A new year brings fresh inspiration. We dream, invent, and create — exploring how small ideas can grow into big, beautiful projects through creativity and persistence.

💖 February — Connection

How can we care for others and ourselves?

We learn to listen with our hearts — practicing compassion, friendship, and gentle words.

Through stories and play, we discover how caring for others helps everyone belong.

🌱 March — Growth

How do living things change?

We observe sprouts, cycles, and ourselves — noticing how growth takes time, patience, and care. Children explore nature, plant seeds, and reflect on their own learning journeys.

🌎 April — Stewardship

How can we care for our planet?

Spring invites us to celebrate our connection to the natural world. We study earth, water, and sky — learning how to care for our planet through art, outdoor projects, and sustainable play.

🛠️ May — Creation

How do we turn ideas into action?

Our makers and dreamers build, design, and create — transforming imagination into something tangible. We end the month by sharing our projects and celebrating the process of bringing ideas to life.

🌊 June — Celebration

What have we learned and how have we grown?

We close our school year in reflection — celebrating our curiosity, friendships, and the moments that made us shine. Portfolios, art shows, and outdoor gatherings honor each child’s journey.

🌻 July — Wonder

What makes you wonder?

Summer invites us to slow down and look closer. We gather questions, notice beauty, and fill our “wonder jars” with ideas for new adventures ahead.

🚀 August — Curiosity

What does it mean to be curious?

As we launch into a new year, we revisit what it means to explore, question, and create. Curiosity becomes the engine that powers our learning.

🤝 September — Community

Who are we together?

We begin our year by building connection — learning each other’s stories, creating classroom agreements, and exploring what it means to belong.

Together, we create the foundation for another year of shared discovery.

Every theme builds curiosity, reflection, and joy — all essential parts of inquiry-based learning. Whether we’re planting seeds in March or showing gratitude in November, each question inspires children to learn by doing.

The Curiosity Lab will follow along, sharing behind-the-scenes looks, family projects, and reflections each month.

Because when curiosity leads, learning takes flight. 🚀
