At Projectory School, we believe children learn best when they do — when they ask questions, test ideas, make mistakes, and reflect. October rolls in with crunchy leaves, changing light, and endless invitations to explore — so we lean into the season of Discovery.

What’s Happening on Instagram & Facebook

This month we’ve been sharing fun, hands-on projects that invite curiosity and play:

  • The Spider-Web Yarn Challenge — using dining chairs and string, learners built messy webs, explored structure, and redesigned their creations.

  • “Monster Math” — post playdough monsters with googly eyes became a playful way to practice counting, grouping and reasoning.

  • …and more snaps of kids asking “What happens if…?”

Each post is part of our October curriculum: to explore how we learn through play, discovery, and hands-on experimentation.

What Discovery Looks Like

  • Questioning & testing: “What happens if we add more baking soda?”; “Why did that pumpkin float and this one sank?”

  • Hands-on building: students design, test, rebuild — the process matters more than getting it “right.”

  • Reflecting & sharing: “What did I notice?” “What did I wonder?” “What would I try next?”

  • Connecting to life: We talk about how these small discoveries reflect bigger ideas — engineering, biology, design thinking.

Looking Ahead to November

Stay tuned for our next theme: Gratitude. How do we show thankfulness?

We’ll be launching “The Thankful Tail” community project — a creative gratitude display where children’s decorated feathers come together to form one big artwork of thanks. Families, teachers, and friends are invited to contribute their drawings and reflections.

Follow us on Instagram, and get ready to join the gratitude movement with your own feathers and reflections.

At Projectory School, learning isn’t just about facts — it’s about wonder, connection, and growth. Thanks for joining us this October on the journey of discovery.

Next month, we’ll turn that discovery toward gratitude, kindness, and community.

See you in November!
